Polina is a freelance theatre director working in the UK. After training at LAMDA she went on to become a resident director at the Orange Tree Theatre. It was there that Polina made her professional debut with ‘Dutchman’ by Amiri Baraka. The theatre's interest in new writing and re-discovered plays has been a strong influence on her work.
After OTT she became an Associate Director for the Actors Touring Company, and travelled the world with David Greig’s award-winning ‘The Events’.
New plays, operatic visuals, precise anarchy, and large-scale ensembles are at the core of her practice.
Passionate about drama school training she has directed and taught at East 15, Guildhall, Central, Mountview, OSD, and the Ekaterinburg State Theatre Institute.
Polina is a JMK finalist, a MGC Futures Bursary recipient, and a member of the Lincoln Centre Theatre Directors Lab in New York.
